Zinovy Efimovich Gerdt (born Zalman Afroimovich Khrapinovich; September 8 [21], 1916, Sebezh, Vitebsk Governorate, Russian Empire – November 18, 1996, Moscow, Russia) was a Soviet and Russian theater and film actor. People's Artist of the USSR (1990). In June 1941, he volunteered for the front. In 1943, he was seriously wounded in the leg by a tank shell fragment; Gerdt became a Group III disabled person of the Great Patriotic War. From 1945 to 1982, he was a member of the troupe of the Central Puppet Theater under the direction of S. V. Obraztsov. Since 1983, he has been an actor at the M. N. Yermolova Moscow Fashion House. He worked as a dubbing actor for a long time, remaining behind the scenes. However, during his career, he managed to appear in over 120 roles in film and television. He is well known to audiences for his roles in "The Golden Calf," "The Shadow," "The Straw Hat," "A Word for the Poor Hussar," "Mary Poppins, Goodbye!", and "A Wartime Romance."
