Barbara Shirin Davidavicius known professionally as Shirin David is a German singer and video blogger. She was born in Hamburg, to an Iranian father and Lithuanian mother and has one younger sister. She graduated from a school of opera singing, dancing and acting in Hamburg. David lives in Berlin. In 2015 she was featured on the song Du liebst mich nicht by Ado Kojo, and it was in the Top-10 of German and Austrian singles chart. The song contains a sample of the original song with the same title by german rapper Sabrina Setlur from 1997. In 2017 she became more famous in Germany after she joined Deutschland sucht den Superstar as a judge. In January 2019 she released Orbit, her first single. With her second single Gib ihm she earned her first number-one hit in Germany.
