Sergei Yuryevich Minaev (January 12, 1962, Moscow, USSR) is a Soviet and Russian singer, musician, composer, television and radio host, showman and comedian. The author of parody cover versions of popular hits of the 1980s and 1990s, calls himself "the first singing Soviet disc jockey." In 1989, Minaev became the winner of the popular television competition "Musical Ring". In the same year, he released the song "I Believe" with the accompaniment of Viktor Zinchuk. In 1990, the Melodiya company released the first long-playing record of Minaev Sergey Minaev. In the process of publishing the LP, the author was called to the artistic council, where the possibility of releasing the disc was discussed. The board included Mikhail Tanich, who criticized Minaev for unprofessional lyrics.
