Samurai Jay, stage name of Gennaro Amatore, is an Italian rapper born in 1998, originally from Mugnano di Napoli. He made his debut in September 2017 with "Giorno Zero" and a few months later collaborated with Neapolitan rap legend Ntò on "Perché." In 2018, he made a name for himself with the song "Promessa III," included on his debut EP Promesse, released that same year. After several singles and collaborations, including the remix of Livio Cori's "A casa mia," which allowed them to play live at the Stadio San Paolo in Naples during the Universiade, Samurai Jay signed to Thaurus, debuting with the single "GANG" featuring Geolier. In October 2020, he released his debut album, Lacrime.
