Philippe Pascal, born May 17, 1956, in Sidi Bel Abbès, Algeria, and died September 12, 2019, in Rennes, France, was a French singer-songwriter who emerged from the prolific Rennes music scene. While a student at Rennes 2 University in Rennes, Philippe Pascal formed the iconic band Marquis de Sade in 1978 with Franck Darcel. He then founded the band Marc Seberg. The group disbanded in 1992, but Philippe Pascal continued his musical journey as a duo with Pascale Le Berre, former keyboardist for Complot Bronswick and Marc Seberg, under the name Philippe Pascale. Returning to his early musical influences, he founded a blues band, The Blue Train Choir, in 1995.
