"Black Obelisk" was a Soviet and Russian metal band that existed between 1986–1988 and 1990–1997 under the leadership of virtuoso bass guitarist, vocalist, and singer-songwriter Anatoly Krupnov. After his death, the band was reorganized in 1999 by several former members. As of 2025, the band's lineup included: Dmitry Borisenkov - vocals, guitar; Mikhail Svetlov - guitar; Daniil Zakharchenkov - bass guitar, backing vocals; Maxim Oleynik - drums. The band announced the release of a new album in 2025.
