Amo (real name: Umut Altun, born June 10, 2005) is a German rapper of Kurdish descent from the North Rhine-Westphalian town of Kamp-Lintfort. His stage name is derived from the Arabic word "Amo," which translates to "uncle." The rapper gained significant attention through his performance in the first season of the rap casting show Rap La Rue and subsequently signed with the label 385idéal in April 2024. That same month, he released his debut single, "Amo aller Amos."
